If my calculations are correct, Baja 1000 starts tomorrow. I wish I was there. I wish I had my own helicopter to fly over it and watch.

Hurrah for the brave new world of video drones. Helicopters for the rest of us.
(Not that I can afford a nice one, or want to deal with the bureaucracy involved in trying to fly one.)

I mean, it’s perfect for city traffic. You can’t get into a fender bender without fenders.
Highway traffic jam? Hit the median @90mph for a while.
Or take the “
back roads” and by that I mean power line cuts.

baja is in Mexico. Everyone knows... anything goes there... and by anything I mean you can fly your drone without having to register it with FAA

I dont need to learn how to fly. I just need to know how to take off and land.

Lesson 1: Take-offs are optional. Landings are not.

If I can watch baja from a helicopter while also piloting, i can die happy. no need to land...successfully or in one piece

I would love to learn more about how suspension systems like that work.

Big suspension arms plus big shocks gives big travel. From what I can see, s uspension design is witchcraft.
What blows my mind are watching WRC cars take big jumps. The amount of negative suspension travel they have is just crazy.
